“I really am concerned that there is a misunderstanding out there that somehow, specialist palliative care — providing good analgesia and providing symptom control — is somehow masquerading as shortening life… that people who die with specialist palliative care input, of which there are thousands every year, do not die with dignity. I have to defend my professional colleagues and the hospice services.”
